Mumbai: BMC has scrapped the allotment of five plots reserved for civic schools to private players under its public-private partnership (PPP) policy. The move came four months after city BJP chief Ameet Satam wrote a letter to BMC chief Ashwini Bhide and mayor Ritu Tawde demanding its cancellation. Congress had backed the demand. BMC then formed a high-level probe committee under joint municipal commissioner Sanjog Kabre. The panel recommended that the allotments be cancelled. Download the TOI App.
