The man repeatedly sent WhatsApp messages to the woman and asked her to visit him at his home, according to the complaint. Kalyan GRP later took the man into custody, registered a case against him based on the woman’s complaint and initiated a probe. The woman initially ignored the messages, but the alleged harassment continued, following which she reportedly complained to the station master at least twice. The station master allegedly reprimanded the man in the complainant’s presence but the harassment did not stop. Frustrated, the woman approached MNS functionaries. MNS workers accompanied her to the man’s office, confronted him with the WhatsApp messages and then allegedly assaulted him. Download the TOI App.
