Police serve notices to 68 protesters Pune city police served notices to 68 civil services aspirants protesting at three different locations in Sadashiv Peth. In all, we served 68 notices the three protest sites. Because of govt policies, privatisation is taking place in every sector, and it is happening.

Addressing the students during his visit, Thackeray said, “I have not come here to give a speech, but to join you in your anger. He said that while aspirants study for years, exams are not held on time and even results are delayed. There must be concrete planning for jobs by govt and young people must get their rightful employment,” he said, adding, “Someone or the other will come every day to support the agitation, raise new hopes and show you dreams. Taking a dig at the current political situation, he said, “Papers are being leaked into your hands, while votes given by people are being split from our hands. He said the mindset of power among elected representatives had to be challenged if ordinary citizens and students were to get any justice. Referring to students coming from Marathwada and rural Maharashtra to prepare for competitive exams in Pune, he said, “These youngsters study day and night, sacrificing their own needs. “I am ready to hold anyone’s feet to get rightful employment and justice for Maharashtra’s youth,” he said. Raje Nimbalkar told aspirants: “The one whom you consider your own must also honour that sense of belonging. Do not force us to shut down Maharashtra,” he said, addressing chief minister Devendra Fadnavis . Poor people have the strength to overthrow a govt,” he said. You have been sent here to study,” he said. He told the students that political functionaries from across parties were supporting them and urged them to make use of the opportunity. “Whichever party commits injustice, I will not spare it,” he said. Taking a broader swipe at state govt, Jarange said its policies had left hawkers, street-food vendors, entrepreneurs and salaried employees struggling. Nobody is happy,” he said. Pune police commissioner (CP) Amitesh Kumar said, “We did not grant permission to organisers of these three protests, so they are illegal. Kumar said. A senior police officer told TOI, “We did not stop vehicular movement near the SM Joshi Bridge agitation site, despite some protesters asking us to halt traffic for the stir.

“You have to ensure that this anger does not remain limited to coming out on the streets temporarily. It must continue to burn. Only then will the system wake up,” Thackeray added. The MNS chief urged students not to get caught up in caste politics. “Do not get into the mess of caste. Politicians will divide you into castes for their own interests, but unemployment has no caste. But you must understand the actual situation and ground reality. Then, decide if you want to continue the agitation or not. Nobody has time to listen to the people. If land is seen, it is given it to Adani, if a port is seen, it is given to Adani. What about jobs for ordinary youngsters? What about their future? But after all this hard work, what do they get? Only the news that the paper has leaked. This cruel game with the future of the youth must stop. “We want reservation, but where are govt jobs? The youngsters of Maharashtra must get jobs. For that, Raj Thackeray is ready to plead with anyone,” he added. Thackeray emphasized that he is prepared to approach anyone to secure employment and justice for Maharashtra’s youth. The visit of Shiv Sena’s Raje Nimbalkar was marked by sloganeering from some students. Protester Vivekanand Patil appealed to fellow students to respect the MP’s presence and not allow the agitation to be discredited. The remark drew applause, after which he left amid heavy police security. Shinde of NCP (SP) vocally backed the students during his visit. He issued a deadline of two days to govt to take a concrete decision on the protesters’ demands, warning that his party would launch an intensified agitation on the streets if no action was taken. Senior NCP (SP) functionary Anil Deshmukh, former minister from Congress Satej alias Banti Patil, and other netas from various political parties also marked their presence at the stir site. Jarange visited the protest site of MPSC aspirants in the city and interacted with students. “Fulfil students’ demands and try to win their trust. Give them justice. He added, “Do not turn this into a political issue. Look at it beyond caste. We have not come here to do caste politics. Jarange urged Fadnavis to take the initiative to resolve the students’ issues instead of acting merely as a govt spokesperson. “Why does govt hate the children of poor families so much? Has holding power made you so arrogant? Jarange also cautioned the protesting students against allowing political interests to overshadow their agitation. “Do not allow your patience to break. Ensure that you are not blamed or your protest is not tainted. “There is no water in fields and drought-like conditions prevail. We identified the organisers and served notices to them. Police will also initiate legal action against those who used drones to film the protests at the sites. However, this would have caused a traffic jam in the area. Download the TOI App.
