US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will soon mandate online filing for many immigration forms that have been available for e-filing for at least 180 days. The immigration authority shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that “Digital submissions help us receive, store, and access information more efficiently, supporting stronger fraud detection, identity management, and national security screening. The post also has a link to the ‘Online Filing Options’ website listing forms that are available for online filing, benefits of filing a form online, among others. There are two options for submitting forms from a USCIS online account, the webpage states. The first is filling out an online form electronically where you are guided step-by-step through the form to answer questions that are relevant to your form type and category. The second online filing option allows you to upload and submit a completed PDF file of your form and related evidence.
