Stakeholders including admissions counsellors and parents gathered in Azad Maidan to protest against the MHT-CET 2026 exam schedule.

MUMBAI: MHT-CET 2027 should be held offline, with each of its two attempts conducted for all candidates on a single day, and the first scheduled after students have had time to prepare, an admissions counsellor and a parents’ representative urged. Yogeshwar Gutte, an admissions counsellor, and Narayan Shingare, who represented parents of students who took MHT-CET 2026, were among the 50-odd stakeholders who came from Latur, Ahmednagar, Nagpur and Pune to protest in Azad Maidan Monday. Later, they met state CET Cell commissioner Dilip Sardesai and said the exam schedule must account for Maharashtra State Board calendar. They called for the first attempt in the last week of Jan or in Feb, preferably after board exam, and for papers to follow state board syllabus. Download the TOI App.
