BENGALURU: A 31-year-old shift manager at a Zomato-rented warehouse near Nelamangala was booked for allegedly telling Kannada-speaking workers to learn Hindi or leave their jobs.
A video surfaced on social media showing Ashok speaking to workers in Hindi during an official interaction, according to police. When a worker asked him to speak in Kannada, Ashok allegedly refused and told the workers to learn Hindi or leave their jobs. Ashok Muttayy, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, worked as a shift manager at the warehouse in Madanayakanahalli. Soon after, a group of pro-Kannada activists gathered outside the warehouse and demanded action against Ashok.
