Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 32-year-old tutor was allegedly called out of his home in Latur, abducted and taken to a stone-crushing centre in neighbouring Beed district, where four men beat him to death on suspicion that he was having an affair with a woman, police said. Police at the hospital became suspicious of the account. They questioned the accused, and the alleged abduction and assault came to light. Four men allegedly bundled him into a car and drove him to a stone-crushing centre at Bardapur in Beed district’s Ambajogai taluka. Police identified the accused as Prithviraj Deshmukh, Dhawal Deshmukh, Prathamesh Reddy and Aditya Bhalke, all residents of Latur. Police are now collecting evidence linked to the murder.

Police said Sangme was called to Vitthal-Rukmini temple area near Kanheri Chowk on Sunday afternoon. The four accused were produced before a court on Tuesday and remanded in police custody for four days.

He allegedly told doctors that Sangme had been found injured near Bardapur. The investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances leading to the murder ,” Tambe said.
