Accident at Sawalghat on Nashik-Peth Road
Dindori police said the bus was carrying 22 passengers when it crashed near a bend on the ghat road, where widening work was under way. Police have registered a case against the bus driver for causing death due to negligence. Police, along with local administration officials, launched an immediate rescue operation.
“Dense fog and overcast conditions likely reduced visibility, causing the driver to lose control,” an officer said. Four ambulances were rushed to the spot, while Peth tehsildar Shivajirao Gaikwad and senior officers from Dindori and Peth police stations supervised evacuation efforts.
Nashik: A passenger was killed while six others suffered injuries after a private Nashik-Ahmedabad bus turned on its side on Sawalghat stretch near Karanjali in Peth taluka, over 38km from Nashik city, around 11pm on Tuesday.
