Ahmedabad: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Thursday launched a dedicated Parakh Cell in Gandhinagar to implement National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines, shifting the focus from rote learning to competency-based evaluation.

Marksheets for around 1 crore students from 2021 to 2026 are already uploaded, simplifying document verification for higher education and employment. Alongside the cell, the board introduced a digital marksheet facility on DigiLocker for Classes X and XII students. This ensures effortless access for students anywhere.

Inaugurating the facility on Thursday, education minister Pradyuman Vaja said the initiative aims to modernise education systems and enhance overall transparency in student assessments.
