In the last few weeks, Travis Kelce’s Six Flags has been reported to be working on surveys as they try to look for a new name for Cedar point.
As per reports, Six Flags spokesperson Kristin Fitzgerald told 3News in an email, “The survey was designed to test a variety of naming concepts and better understand what resonates with guests…” Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’quarterback, has bounced back on the field well after a plummeting performance in the last few years. As Travis Kelce remains focused on his career, he has also made a number of investments. Amid this, his investment in the popular amusement park hSix Flags has continued to face issues and now, it seems to make a major transformation. As per reports, the potential name for Cedar Point has been rumored to be Six Flags of North Ohio, Cedar Point, a Six Flags Experience and Cedar Point by Six Flags.
Though an out of court settlement was made regarding the death, more than 100 lawsuits have been filed against Six Flags. the hedge fund has also reportedly urged Six Flags to look for sales to help with the losses that the company is reportedly making While Travis Kelce teamed up with JANA Partners for a 9% stake in Six Flags in 2025. Six Flags spokesperson Kristin Fitzgerald further added, “Understanding what guests don’t respond to can be just as valuable as understanding what they do…” This survey is reportedly not just limited to Cedar Point as the popular amusement park, Six Flags, is also looking for new names in Canada and Mexico. The email added, “The options are research concepts, not proposed or final names. Exploring a broad range of ideas helps us learn what guests value most about our parks and brands and gives us another input as we make decisions for the future. No decisions have been made regarding park names. The email further added that the survey is intended “to gather feedback on a range of ideas, not a signal a preferred direction. Six Flags’ Cedar Point potentially changing its name comes at a point when the amusement park has faced a lot of issues in the last few months. Six Flags was involved in a wrongful death lawsuit after a college graduate passed away hours after getting on the infamous X2 ride.
