Chitradurga : Zilla Panchayat CEO S Akash has urged rural workers to make use of employment opportunities available under the VB-G RAM G scheme in their villages instead of migrating elsewhere in search of work amid drought conditions. He verified workers’ attendance through the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) app and checked their job cards and bank passbooks to ascertain whether wages were being credited regularly. He urged workers to take advantage of the scheme, which also gives priority to individual beneficiary works, and complete e-KYC for their job cards without delay. He instructed officials to ensure drinking water and shade at work sites and take necessary steps to ensure wages are credited on time. Taluk panchayat executive officer Hanumanthappa, ZP ADPC Mohan Kumar, taluk technical coordinator Dinesh, IEC coordinator Devaraj and MIS coordinator Madhusudan were present. Download the TOI App.

Akash inspected lake rejuvenation works being taken up under the scheme in the jurisdiction of B G Kere, Konasagara, Tumakuruahalli, Nagasamudra, Chikkerahalli and Hanagal gram panchayats in Molakalmuru taluk on Thursday.
