Commissioner of police Seema Latkar, who Friday announced a two-phase security arrangement involving about 8,500 police personnel, including 1,500 trained home guards, said updates on road closures, parking, timings and event notices, Dasara venues and public facilities, along with directions on Google Maps, have been made available at https://mysurupolicedasaraportal.com Besides, 28 ambulances and 32 fire and emergency services vehicles have been reserved to attend to emergencies. The cannon are fired during the gun salute to Goddess Chamundeshwari during the Dasara procession. All the thirteen Dasara jumbos took part in the drill.
