Varanasi: A 55-year-old sari trader died after a Chinese kite string slit his throat while he was riding a bike on Kajjakpura flyover in Jaitpura police station area on Sunday morning.
Passers-by and eyewitnesses informed police that around 9 am, they were crossing the flyover when the string caught Sunil’s neck as he rode past. On Saturday, a 35-year-old man died after his neck was slit by a Chinese manjha while he was on his way to work on his two-wheeler under Tiwaripur police station limits in Gorakhpur.
Jaitpura police station in-charge Upendra Pratap Singh said the victim, Sunil Kumar , was returning after offering prayers at Gopal Temple in Chowkhamba when the sharp string suddenly wrapped around his neck. Before he could react, the string cut deep into his throat. Bleeding heavily, he fell on the road and struggled for help. Passers-by rushed him to the divisional hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
