Muzaffarnagar : An Aligarh court sentenced a 35-year-old woman — a mother of three children — and her lover to life imprisonment for shooting dead her husband, 40, who worked as a security guard in Delhi, in 2025. The couple’s 14-year-old son — a key witness — narrated before the court about his mother’s illicit affair and how she gave the chilling orders to kill his father. Additional district govt counsel, JP Rajput, said the court of additional sessions judge Tosh Kumar Sharma convicted Manoj Kumar and Beena for the murder of Suresh Singh, an Aligarh resident, and imposed a total fine of Rs 35,000.
Suresh used to be in Delhi due to his work while Beena lived with their children at the village, according to the prosecution.
She said, ‘Shoot him, just shoot him; don’t let him live’. Beena’s lover was given a separate sentence under BNS sections related to “murder” and the Arms Act, which will run concurrently. He added: “When my dad was near the house with my uncle, my mother asked that grocery shop owner (lover), who had a country-made pistol, to take aim at him. That man took out the pistol and fired at my dad’s chest. ..
Beena was in an affair with Manoj for almost five years. He was unmarried and ran a grocery shop. Suresh and his family later came to know of it and strongly objected.
The defence claimed that village rivalry was behind the killing, which the court rejected; and on Thursday held the duo guilty for “the murder with a common intention”. During trial, the prosecution presented eyewitnesses, medical evidence, postmortem report investigation records and the recovered weapon.
