Ahmedabad: A 35-year-old woman has accused a man she met on social media of threatening to circulate her nude photographs and videos, assaulting her and threatening to kill her after she ended the relationship. The accused had allegedly introduced himself as a doctor and claimed to live in Odhav.
The woman, who lives in Ahmedabad with her elderly parents, was married in 2023. Her divorce proceedings are ongoing, the complaint filed with Infocity police on Nov 1 states. She met the accused online in Oct 2024 and entered into a consensual physical relationship with him. On Oct 23, the man called her up, asking to meet just once.

The woman told police she was pushed to the ground and kicked in the abdomen. She said he snatched her car keys and has not returned them. The first six months were good, but when she refused to meet him on one occasion, the accused allegedly threatened to circulate her nude photographs and videos. He began harassing her, threatened to make their intimate content public, and repeatedly demanded more nude pictures, she alleged. They met around 5pm in a lane near Swagat Holiday Mall in Sargasan. The woman had arrived in a Kia car, accompanied by friends. The accused had brought a Honda City sedan. Questioning her decision to end the relationship, he allegedly held her forcibly, used abusive language and slapped her multiple times. The woman had earlier approached the city women’s police station, after which the man apologised and assured he would delete the videos and photographs.
