Ahmedabad: A total of 231 medical and dental seats remain vacant in Gujarat after the completion of reporting for the third round of undergraduate admissions for 2026-27. These include 124 MBBS and 107 BDS seats that remained unreported, prompting the state admission committee to announce a fourth online round, or stray vacancy round, to fill the vacancies. Reporting for Round 3 was conducted from Oct 12 to 14.

The committee has announced the schedule for fresh registration and document verification for eligible candidates seeking admission to govt and self-financed medical and dental colleges.

Only non-admitted candidates and those who were not allotted a seat in Round 3 will be eligible. Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 2 but did not confirm admission and exited after forfeiting their refundable security deposit may also apply, provided they did not register afresh in Round 3.
