Kudasan slab collapse
Ahmedabad : All 12 labourers rescued after the slab collapse at an under-construction commercial project in Kudasan were admitted to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital late on Wednesday night. Of the 12 patients, two are women and 10 are men, aged between 17 and 30 years. On Wednesday night, six EMRI 108 ambulances transported eight of the injured workers to the hospital, while the remaining patients were brought in through private ambulances and other vehicles.
Dr Mita Parikh, medical superintendent of the hospital, said four of the injured workers are being treated in the emergency ward due to the nature of their injuries, while the remaining eight have been admitted to the patient transit ward.
Hospital authorities said all of them are stable and out of danger. The others suffered minor head, body and blunt-force injuries and are recovering well, Parikh said. One labourer sustained a spinal injury and underwent a minor corrective procedure.
Minister of state for health Praful Pansheriya and other officials visited the injured workers at the hospital late on Wednesday night.
