In the early hours of Tuesday, a knife attack occurred during a garba programme in Nava Vadaj, Ahmedabad, resulting in serious injuries to a young man. The incident reportedly stemmed from an altercation at the event, which was part of a larger function. The victim’s elder brother has since filed a complaint at the Vadaj police station, prompting an investigation into the matter.

When he enquired what was going on, his younger brother told him that there had been an altercation during garba. So the elder brother tried to intervene and pacify the two youths. However, the argument escalated into violence with the accused abusing and assaulting both brothers. The complaint further states that one of the two allegedly pulled out a knife from his two-wheeler and attacked the younger brother, injuring him in the left armpit and on the left side of his waist.
