Rajesh Power’s latest contract has increased its aggregate order: The wider industry impact

Ahmedabad: Electricity distribution networks across South Gujarat will undergo underground cabling over the next two years under a Rs 1,628.7 crore infrastructure project awarded by Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (DGVCL).

The project will replace existing 11kV and 22kV high-tension and low-tension overhead distribution networks with underground cable systems. It will also install SCADA-compatible equipment to support modernised network operations. The project advances Gujarat’s ongoing power distribution infrastructure upgrades by replacing overhead electricity lines with underground cables, changing the physical distribution network across covered areas.

Rajesh Power’s latest contract has increased its aggregate order book to approximately Rs 5,400 crore from Rs 4,000 crore before the award. The company also reported 46% year-on-year revenue growth in the first half of FY27. Rajesh Power Services Ltd secured the tax-inclusive turnkey contract and will execute the project over 24 months at multiple locations under DGVCL’s SI Scheme.
