The statement said the initiative combines forest tourism with livelihood generation while promoting traditional tribal food. The steady income has improved financial security for tribal families, enabling them to support their children’s higher education and meet medical expenses without depending on others, the statement said. The restaurants are operated by women’s self-help groups and serve traditional tribal cuisine, including ‘nagli rotla’, traditional pulses and ‘nagli laddoos’. It added that the model has helped women transition from daily-wage labour to entrepreneurship. Download the TOI App.
