A senior officer said KIA police received a complaint Wednesday evening. “We will begin the investigation and take necessary action,” the officer said. However, an intensive search by security agencies found no explosives, and the threat was subsequently declared a hoax. The threat, written in English, was spotted near the aircraft’s toilet a few minutes before landing at KIA. Taking the matter seriously, the cabin crew immediately alerted the pilot, who informed Air Traffic Control (ATC). After completing the checks, officials found no explosive material on board. Airport authorities are trying to determine who issued the threat and how the message reached the aircraft. They are also verifying the details of passengers who travelled on the flight.
