MCC commissioner Rahul Ratnam Pandey and officials travel in a boat to visit Ullal Hoige on Tuesday
They stated that plastic waste is collected once every seven to 10 days on regular days, and once every four days during the rainy season. Discussing with the concerned officials on the spot, the commissioner assured that the issues would be examined. He informed the residents that since a long summer and drought-like conditions are likely in the district in the coming days, resolving the drinking water problem must be given top priority at present. He also visited the stormwater drain (rajakaluve) on Jeppinamogaru–Kudupadi road and inspected the waste collection system (trash boom) installed and managed by Plastic Fischer. Representatives of the organisation explained the method of collecting plastic waste using an anchoring system.
