Chennai: Madras high court has reserved its order on a plea moved by former DMK minister E V Velu seeking to quash a case registered against him in connection with alleged irregularities in allocating Rs 3.23 crore under the Integrated Road Infrastructure Development Project for improvement of roads across the state.
The issue pertains to a complaint lodged by Arappor Iyakkam alleging that funds were released to private companies under the scheme despite road works not being carried out, resulting in financial irregularities.
