Chennai: All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AIPTMMK) president P Sakkaravarthy said he was “expelling” party general secretary V K Sasikala from the outfit on Wednesday. Sakkaravarthy told reporters that there were no efforts on the part of Sasikala to nurture the party. Multiple attempts to meet her after the assembly elections failed, he said. Hence we decided to remove her,” he said.
