Chennai: Electronics manufacturing services company Syrma SGS Technology posted 73.2% revenue growth in the second quarter to Rs 1,999.5 crore. Its profit after tax rose 87.2% to Rs 124 crore from Rs 66 crore in the same period last year. Its revenue and profit for the first half of the 2027 fiscal year stood at Rs 3,603 crore and Rs 230 crore, respectively, surpassing last fiscal year’s figures. PAT margin for the quarter stood at 6.2%.
As revenue grew, overheads fell to 11% of revenue in Q2, from 14% in Q1. The company witnessed 1.7% margin compression in the first half of FY27 compared to the corresponding period last year from mix changes and material cost push. Gujral said the company aims to cross the billion-dollar mark in FY28, driven by growth and upcoming expansion into the printed circuit board business, which is beginning trial production around March 2027. Automotive segment performance was up 91%, while industrial grew 86% and consumer 57% compared to last year. Gujral growth guidance moved from 30 to 35% to more than 35%, expecting annual revenue of Rs 7,000 crores and exports above Rs 1,600 crore You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Chennai | Silver Rate in Chennai | Bank Holidays in Chennai | Public Holidays in Chennai | Chennai AQI | Weather in Chennai | Petrol Price in Chennai | Diesel Price in Chennai | CNG Price in Chennai | LPG Price in Chennai
Jasbir Singh Gujral, managing director of Syrma SGS Technology, said broad growth across business segments and operational efficiencies drove quarterly performance. Strong purchase-price-variation tracking and recovering cost inflation from customers helped offset cost inflation pressure, he said. “Through industry-wide component constraints, we met our customer commitments while bringing working capital back to 63 days and turning operating cash flow strongly positive for half year,” he said.
Exports and ODM growth were additional strengths in the first half, with dollar appreciation contributing modestly to export growth.
