The issue pertains to a plea moved by P Murugan, a resident of Ayanavaram challenging denial of admission to his second son in UKG at Bethel Metric and Higher Secondary School, Ayanavaram. Allowing the plea, the court directed the authorities to pass orders to admit the petitioner’s son in UKG in one week and directed the school management to permit the child to attend classes immediately without waiting for a formal order. However, when he sought admission for his younger son based on the same documents that he produced for his elder child, the same was denied for want of proof of residence.
