“During the campaign, the LoP said that my victory was more important than his own. However, none of the DMK leaders bothered to thank our leader, Thirumavalavan,” Vanni Arasu said. In response, Udhayanidhi said, “It was never a mere electoral alliance with Thirumavalavan; it is an ideological alliance. Vanni Arasu earlier said VCK’s goal was social justice and equality, which was the objective behind joining the cabinet. “I came from the ashes of torched huts burned in communal clashes,” he said.
