Imparted training to local medicos
Chennai: A 10-member team of doctors and nurses from MGM Healthcare travelled to Karbala in central Iraq with specialised surgical equipment to perform complex heart and lung procedures through incisions as small as two inches. The team also trained local medical professionals in minimally invasive surgical techniques. The team performed minimally invasive surgeries on two patients with life-threatening conditions and conducted hands-on training for local doctors. One patient, who weighed 100kg, underwent a beating-heart bypass surgery to treat blocks in three blood vessels.
