HEAD: 24_Del_SJ_South Asian University admission South Asian University (SAU) has opened the online application process for admissions to its undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes for the 2026–27 academic session, offering a total of 1,610 seats across disciplines. Applications can be submitted through the university’s official website till April 10, while entrance examinations are scheduled for April 25 and 26. Aggarwal said the university is entering its 16th academic year and will admit 780 students each to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with 50 PhD scholarship seats.
This year, the university has introduced several new programmes. At the undergraduate level, BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes have been launched. A new BA (Hons) in Media Arts and Design has also been introduced. New PhD programmes in Management, Climate Change, English and Chemistry have also been launched to strengthen research.

For students from SAARC countries other than India, admissions will also consider Class 12 board results, and the university entrance test will be conducted in a proctored online mode that students can take from their home countries. To align with India’s evolving higher education framework, the university has introduced a one-year master’s programme for students graduating under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP). Additionally, a quantum computing branch has been introduced within the B.Tech (CSE) programme to expand technological offerings.
Students with a three-year undergraduate degree will continue to pursue a two-year master’s degree. Admissions will be conducted through the university’s entrance examination as well as recognised national-level tests. In India, scores from CUET, JEE Main, CLAT, CAT, NET-JRF and NEET will be considered for respective programmes. In India, examinations will be held at designated centres across cities.
