A PCR call regarding the attack was received at Bhajanpura police station, following which a team was immediately dispatched to the spot. By the time the team reached there, the woman had been shifted to JPC Hospital in a PCR van. Investigators are also examining the circumstances leading to the attack and the source from which the accused procured the chemical.
