Delhi PWD minister Parvesh Singh to study traffic flow, flags AAP-era gaps — Barapullah Phase-III

The Public Works Department plans to introduce a U-turn on the Ring Road for improved resident access

The minister said the earlier project had been planned and executed in the past, but the present government now has to address the problems being faced by commuters. “We can examine what went wrong in the past, but Delhi’s people need a solution today,” the Minister said, adding that the government is working on immediate traffic measures as well as longer-term solutions. NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is working on a series of measures to ease traffic congestion around the Barapullah corridor after the opening of Phase-III, with the PWD examining a dedicated U-turn on Ring Road and changes to lane management and route mapping. PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh also questioned the planning and design of the project under the previous AAP government, while stressing that the immediate priority is to address the traffic problems faced by commuters. The Delhi government is examining Google Maps route mapping as traffic patterns in the area have changed following the opening of the new corridor.
