FSSAI has suspended the licence of Seven Seas Hospitality Pvt Ltd for serious violations
Rotten capsicum and degraded cooking oils were also found, PTI reported.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), in a social media post on Wednesday, said it suspended the company’s licence after finding “serious non-compliances” during an inspection of its food premises, news agnecy PTI reported. “Deteriorated food materials” were also found, including fungal growth on tomatoes, papaya, jaggery and cashew nuts. The regulator said there were serious deficiencies in food storage, including inadequate segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Its officials destroyed “74 kg/litres” of non-compliant food articles.
NEW DELHI: Food regulator FSSAI has suspended the licence of Seven Seas Hospitality Pvt Ltd over poor hygiene and sanitation conditions and other food safety violations. The FSSAI found poor hygiene and sanitation conditions, including water stagnation, foul odour, filth and inadequate housekeeping in food preparation areas.
