India’s food regulator FSSAI has ordered CG Foods India to stop producing veg bhujia

The inspection also uncovered the use of predated packaging and the unlicensed manufacture of ‘Wai-Wai MaMa’ and ‘Wai-Wai Mama Punte’ bhujia variants, allegedly in violation of Section 31(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The inspection further revealed deficiencies in hygiene and documentation, including inadequate pest-control records and other food safety lapses.

The food regulator said on Thursday that enforcement action had been initiated against the company over “unsafe processing, unlicensed bhujia manufacturing, and predated packaging”. NEW DELHI: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ( FSSAI ) has directed CG Foods India Pvt Ltd to stop production of its ‘Veg Bhujia Namkeen’ after an inspection at the company’s facility in Rajasthan found multiple food safety and hygiene violations.
