Heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius, according to the weather office. Safdarjung also recorded 28.4 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded 22.4 degrees Celsius, 3.8 degrees below normal. Palam received 64.2 mm of rain in the 24 hours till 8.30am on Wednesday, while Ayanagar recorded 1.9 mm. Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) stood at 113 at 9am, placing it in the ‘moderate’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Safdarjung and the Ridge reported no rainfall, while Lodi Road recorded trace rainfall. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.
