New Delhi: Two persons, including a boy, were injured after a traffic pole suddenly fell in central Delhi’s Connaught Place Tuesday night, police said.

The boy, aged 12-13 years, was travelling in an auto, while the other person, around 50 years old, was passing through the area on a scooter, according to sources. Preliminary information suggests that the pole may have fallen unexpectedly, but officials are examining whether it was due to structural weakness, a technical fault or some other reason.
