Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) make public the outcome of searches conducted at the firms allegedly linked to revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sept 27 and 28, 2024.
BRS said the directorate customarily issues such statements after searches conducted under the PMLA.
They also sought written clarification from the department on the issue within 15 days. The party said the ED had conducted searches at around 16 premises in Hyderabad and Khammam allegedly belonging to the minister, his family members and his firm, two years ago in connection with a money laundering case reportedly arising from a complaint by DRI and customs.

We trust the directorate will demonstrate that the law applies equally to every citizen, and that no office places anyone beyond its reach,” the BRS said. “To date, the ED has not placed in the public domain a single word on what was found, what was seized, what was attached, or what has become of the case,” it said.
“If the investigation is pending, state the expected timeline for the prosecution complaint; if closed, state the reasons. “If no reply is received, we will be constrained to raise the matter with the Director of Enforcement, the Union ministry of finance (department of revenue), and in the Telangana assembly and Parliament, and to pursue such legal remedies as are available. BRS MLAs, including Vivekanand and Dr K Sanjay, and MLCs Shambirpur Raju and Naveen Reddy, and others held a protest in front of the ED office in Hyderabad and later submitted a memorandum to the local officer on Monday.
