Hyderabad: Burglars allegedly broke into a house in New Bharat Nagar of Uppal and decamped with 48 tolas of gold ornaments, 1.5 kg of silver articles and Rs 8.5 lakh in cash on Tuesday.
He subsequently lodged a complaint with Uppal police, stating that the burglars had stolen gold ornaments weighing about 48 tolas, silver articles weighing 1.5 kg and Rs 8.5 lakh in cash. Police registered a case based on the complaint and launched an investigation. The occupants, Gangam Bhaskar Reddy and his wife, Balamani, left their house on Monday afternoon to visit Komuravelli, according to the police. The theft came to light on Tuesday morning when their domestic help arrived at the house and found the doors open.
