Ensure access to past judgments: HC advocates

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Hyderabad: Members of Telangana High Court Bar on Thursday urged Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association to intervene urgently to address several issues affecting advocates and litigants, including the inaccessibility of past judgments, delays in publishing cause lists and irregularities in case listings.

In a representation, advocates said judicial orders and judgments available on the high court’s official website had become inaccessible since February 2026.

The advocates said daily cause lists were no longer being uploaded consistently on the previous day, making it difficult to prepare for hearings and inform clients. “Such delays in listing cases could result in interim protection expiring before the next hearing, forcing advocates to make repeated mentions or file fresh applications for extensions, causing additional hardship to litigants,” the members said. They also flagged instances of cases going missing from cause lists despite judges specifying hearing dates or posting slips reflecting them. They urged the Bar association president and executive committee to take up the issues with appropriate authorities and coordinate with the high court registry.
