Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has filed a discharge petition before the ACB special court in the Formula E case, requesting the court to discharge him from the case.
KTR, through his advocate, had on Oct 9 moved a discharge petition under Section 262 (1) of BNSS, asking the court to discharge him from the case since there were no sufficient grounds to proceed against him, according to ACB sources.
The court has issued a notice to ACB regarding the petition and the matter has been posted for hearing on Oct 30. In March 2026, the ACB had filed a chargesheet against KTR, former municipal administration special chief secretary Arvind Kumar, HMDA former chief engineer BLN Reddy, Ace Nxt Gen executive G Kiran Malleswara Rao and FEO representative Alberto Longo.
So far, only KTR, who represents Sircilla in the assembly, has moved a petition and the other accused have not,” an ACB official said. “We will file a counter to the discharge petition.
