Hyderabad: Madannapet police arrested a 28-year-old man and his wife for allegedly dumping food waste near an Annadanam event organised at a worship place in a govt double-bedroom housing complex on Sunday. The couple was remanded in judicial custody, police said on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint from a resident of the complex, Madannapet police registered a case under Sections 196(2) (promoting enmity between groups and acts prejudicial to harmony) and 299 (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), read with Section 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS.
