Hyderabad: Election Commission on Tuesday informed Telangana high court that grievances raised by city-based social activist SQ Masood and his brother Syed Waheeduddin over the electoral roll have either been addressed or are being processed.
Because it was not in the earlier roll either, desai said Masood’s name was not in the draft roll.
Senior counsel Avinash Desai, appearing for the commission, said Masood had complained that his name was missing from the draft roll and had submitted a representation. On Waheeduddin, Desai said his name was already in the draft list, though there was a mismatch in his father’s name. A detailed reply was sent to him, though it was not part of the present writ petition and might have been received late, he submitted. His name, like others, would be published in the final list if his application was accepted, or a decision would be taken on his application, he added.
