Gold and silver ornaments found during the searches
Hyderabad : Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a civil supplies official after conducting simultaneous searches at multiple locations and allegedly uncovering assets worth around ₹20 crore that are suspected to be disproportionate to his known sources of income. During the searches, investigators identified several immovable properties, including five plots measuring 1,230 square yards in Khammam district and agricultural lands in Suryapet district. These included 21.3 acres at Sirikonda, 1.08 acres at Kalamala Cheruvu, and two parcels of 5.31 acres each at Namavaram. The Sirikonda land carried a registered value of ₹76 lakh, while its agreement value was found to be ₹6.54 crore, according to ACB officials. Likewise, each of the two Namavaram land parcels had a registered value of ₹19.5 lakh, but the agreement value mentioned for each was ₹1.92 crore. The agency also detected other properties, including G+2 and G+4 buildings in Kaviraj Nagar, Khammam, and a G+2 building in Bairamalguda, LB Nagar. Movable assets seized or identified during the searches included a Hyundai Creta, two two-wheelers, household articles worth ₹33.48 lakh, 361 grams of gold, 332 grams of silver, and ₹15,600 in cash.

“The total document value of the assets identified so far is about Rs 9.41 crore, and their market value is about Rs 20 crore,” an ACB official said. ACB teams carried out raids at seven locations linked to V Narasimha Rao, assistant manager (technical) and presently serving as district manager (RDO) in Mahabubabad district, as well as properties linked to his relatives and associates. The bureau is also probing the suspected buying of a rice mill allegedly acquired in a benami name and is verifying its ownership. The accused official has been arrested and will be produced before a court for judicial remand. Download the TOI App.
