Kalyan Saha, whose house Dutta entered, said, “I woke up to screams. We have initiated an investigation to trace the exact sequence of events,” DCP Rana Mukherjee said. The victim, Shiuli Dutta, sustained serious injuries to her neck and hands. Both Dutta and the accused, Sajal Das, are admitted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
