Celebrating quality and shaping the future of education — Times: The wider industry impact

The Times School Survey West Bengal 2026, an initiative by The Times of India, was held on 25 th August at the Hyatt Regency, Kolkata. The gala event brought together leading educators, academic experts, distinguished personalities, and school leaders from across West Bengal to celebrate academic excellence and explore the next frontier of primary and secondary education.

The Times School Survey West Bengal 2026 concluded as both a celebration of institutional achievement and a meaningful catalyst for dialogue, reinforcing West Bengal’s commitment to progressive, student-centred education. The initiative highlighted exceptional institutions across Kolkata and the broader state across multiple categories – including CBSE and ICSE National Curriculum schools, residential campuses, emerging institutions, and pre-schools. Powered by neutral and rigorous research, the survey provided a credible benchmark for recognising institutions shaping young learners’ futures. The evening commenced with a traditional ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and innovation in learning. The lamp was lit in the presence of honoured Guests of Honour, Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-Chairman, Techno India Group; Marc Boudin, Director, Alliance Française du Bengale and Dr Subir Sen, Dean and Professor, School of Business & Management, as well as the Principal of the Bhawanipur College of Creative Arts and Applied Sciences. A major focal point of the day was a dynamic panel discussion titled “ The Future-Ready School: What Should Students Learn for a Changing World? Academic leaders addressed how modern schooling must transcend traditional examination frameworks to address rapid technological shifts, artificial intelligence, and global opportunities.
