Paying tribute in front of Hazra’s statue on Red Road on her death anniversary, Adhikari referred to her role in Quit India movement and said his govt would ensure that Hazra’s contribution to the freedom struggle was appropriately reflected in school textbooks. “As the administrative head of the state, she had given incorrect information to the people of Bengal,” Adhikari alleged. He alleged that previous CMs hardly visited the statue of Hazra and accused Mamata Banerjee of referring incorrectly to Hazra during an event. Download the TOI App.
