Referring to a story in Ramayana in which Lord Rama granted a boon to Kinnars, Kartik Maharaj said, “Brihannalas could neither go to heaven or hell. Rama told them they would be reborn as intellectuals in Bengal. ” Urging Bengali Hindus to unite, Kartik Maharaj also said, “It is time to take a vow that the demon will be slayed. Kartik Maharaj’s comment came during his address at a Gita recital event on Sunday in which CM Suvendu Adhikari and Union minister Sukanta Majumdar were also present.
