Jalpaiguri : The state education department has ordered a probe into Tuesday’s incident in which Jalpaiguri Zilla School headmaster Dharmu Chand Barui was assaulted and left bleeding by students. He will meet headmasters of other schools in the locality. School education minister Dipak Barman is likely to visit the school on Friday to inquire into the incident.
Considering his present health condition, the headmaster has been allowed 15 days of leave.
I will do that within the given time,” Sarkar said. The DI has sought to find out whether there had been any previous complaints against Barui or incidents that may have led to resentment among students .“I have been instructed to probe the incident and submit a report. On Wednesday, acting on the instructions of school education department principal secretary Binod Kumar, the district inspector of schools (secondary) Sujit Sarkar visited the school and spoke to teachers to ascertain what led to the altercation.
