Gor, accompanied by members of his team, was in Darjeeling at the invitation of Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Vardhan Shringla. During his visit, the US envoy also interacted with students and young people. At Shringla’s residence, Ivanhoe, near the historic Mall, Gor sampled Darjeeling delicacies, including momos and Castleton First Flush tea. The Toy Train ride was among the highlights of the visit, with Gor travelling aboard the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, one of the region’s major heritage attractions.
