UPSC ESE 2025 Application Reopens: Key Exam Dates and Details

UPSC ESE 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has reopened the application window for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025. Originally, the application process ended on October 8, 2024, but the deadline has now been extended to November 22, 2024, allowing new candidates to apply.

UPSC Updates ESE 2025 Rules

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an addendum to the rules for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025, dated October 18, 2024. Applicants are strongly advised to review these changes prior to submitting their applications.

Candidates who applied between September 18 and October 8, 2024, need not reapply but can modify their details in the new application window if required. Additionally, a correction window will be available from November 23 to November 29, 2024, for further updates. The preliminary exam will now be held on June 8, 2025, with the main examination scheduled for August 10, 2025.

As a result, the UPSC had initially halted the correction window after the notification in September. This decision follows the government’s announcement that the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) recruitment will now be included in ESE for certain sub-cadres, such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication, and Stores.
