Bengaluru: City police will seek legal opinion before considering an investigation into the complaint against BK Hariprasad , president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), for terming imprisoned activist Umar Khalid a “nationalist”.
A former student researcher, Khalid has been in prison without trial since Sept 2020 after Delhi police arrested him for his alleged role in planning and executing communal riots. Hariprasad, also a member of the legislative council, told the media Tuesday that opposition parties and ABVP had no moral right to speak on Khalid, “who is a nationalist”.
